A member of the country band Rascal Flatts was charged with driving under the influence on Thursday morning in greater Nashville.
Joe Don Rooney, 45, was arrested after a vehicle crash about 4 a.m. just north of Franklin, Tenn., Williamson County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Sharon Puckett confirmed.
The sheriff’s office reported Rooney, who lives in Nashville, crashed into a tree in the 1200 block of Hillsboro Road near Fieldstone Park just north of Franklin.
It was not immediately known if he suffered any injuries.

Rooney was booked into the Williamson County jail at 7:20 a.m. and released at 10:17 a.m.
He remained free on $2,500 bond Friday, online records show.
