(SPRINGFIELD) The Illinois State Fair continues in Springfield. Today is Governor’s Day with harness racing and a newly scheduled performance with country music artist Chris Young, performing at 12:30 today on the Director’s Lawn at the fairgrounds. Tomorrow is Republican Day with more harness racing and Jon Pardi on stage Thursday night. Friday will be First Responder Day with a free admission for all police officers, firefighters, and EMTs who show their badge at the gate, along with a drone racing competition, livestock shows, and comedian Trevor Noah on stage. Plus all the carnival rides, various displays & exhibits, concessions, and the great special attractions, including Conservation World with many different hands-on activities.
