Facing stiff competition from the Ford Bronco, Jeep has made a number of minor updates to the Wrangler for the 2023 model year.
Kicking things off for 2023 are two new exterior colors for the Wrangler, dubbed Earl and Reign respectively. The first of these is a simple shade of Gray with an aquamarine tint that will replace the Snazzberry (dark red) previously offered with the Wrangler. This new paint adds $395 to the off-roader’s sticker price. As for the second new paint option, Reign is a deep shade of purple that costs $495.

The most significant change to the 2023 Wrangler family is the launch of the new Freedom Edition, first presented at the start of the month. The Freedom Edition takes the form of a $3,295 package that adds a winch-capable steel front bumper, rock rails, black wheels, body-color fender flares, LED headlights, and LED fog lights. It also rocks American flag decals on the front fenders and an Oscar Mike badge on the rear tailgate.
Rounding out the updates for 2023 are the new standard and optional 17-inch wheel designs for the Wrangler Rubicon and the availability of American flag decals on the front fenders for all Wrangler models, not just the Freedom Edition.
All of the same powertrain options carry through to the 2023 model year.
