General Motors recently unveiled an all-electric GMC Sierra pickup truck, becoming the first automaker to offer three all-electric trucks. GMC Sierra product manager Tom Namovich revealed plans to build the new EV on an upgraded version of the groundbreaking Ultium Technology, box construction, and integrated cab used in the Hummer EV.
The bold, forward-looking aesthetic announces the GMC Sierra EV's new design language, including a new GMC grille, perimeter grille lighting, lighting animation, and a more confident stance. At least for now, the GMC Sierra EV is available in one configuration: Denali Edition 1 with a hefty $107,000 price tag. With the first models expected to start showing up at dealerships in early 2024, here are ten reasons why we're looking forward to the GMC Sierra EV Denali.

General Motors reimagined the Sierra EV to offer next-generation modern functionality and styling. The Ultium Platform integrates into the Sierra EV Denali's body structure, enabling a more expressive and practical overall design.
Regarding the all-important task of towing, the 2024 Sierra EV Denali delivers up to 9,500lbs maximum trailering capacity, with a trailering package offered as standard equipment. Additionally, the EV truck offers up to 1,300lbs of payload.
At the front of the 2024 Sierra EV Denali is a spacious eTrunk with two drains to ensure lockable weatherproof cargo space. The second-row seat boasts a 60/40 split with four configurations that allow owners to haul equipment or gear while accommodating rear passengers.
The Sierra EV Denali comes in a Crew Cab design with an integrated five-foot, eleven-inches cargo bed, and an available lockable, weatherproof tonneau cover. The innovative MultiPro Midgate provides 9 feet, one inch of storage between the tailgate and the cab. On the other hand, opening the standard MultiPro Tailgate load-stop and lowering the MultiPro MidGate provides a maximum load floor length of nearly 11 feet.

The 2024 Sierra EV Denali offers a sleek, modern interior that the majority would agree exudes exceptional attention to detail. The authentic premium materials represent the pinnacle of luxury, while the distinctive quilting and embroidered Denali logos on the front seat backs are undoubtedly familiar to Sierra customers.
The modern luxurious appointments also include wood decor, complemented by aluminum accents and Bose audio system speaker grilles etched in stainless steel. The Sierra EV Denali's bold, all-new interior design incorporates an infrared-reflective panoramic fixed glass roof with UV coating to keep the cabin open and comfortable.
The 2024 Sierra EV Denali boasts a simple and intuitive Hands-Free Start that sees the truck turn on after the driver enters with a key fob. The interior flaunts multiple high-resolution display screens, including an 11-inch, reconfigurable driver information center with a multicolor HUD offering 14 inches of diagonal view.
The center point is a user-friendly 16.8-inch diagonal freeform infotainment touchscreen with GM's Ultifi vehicle software program and a customizable experience with icons similar to a smartphone. Furthermore, the Sierra EV Denali offers up to 14 camera views for enhanced visibility around the truck.
The 2024 Sierra EV Denali features an upgraded GM Ultium Platform, offering a pivotal structural element that contributes to the overall performance, strength, and durability. The articulate placement of the battery pack lowers the Sierra EV Denali's center of gravity, provides driver confidence on or off-road, and enhances comfort.
In Max Power mode, the front and rear electric drive units deliver a GM-estimated 754hp and 785lb-ft of torque. And thanks to the e4WD system, the Sierra EV Denali has exceptional traction and capability in numerous driving scenarios.

General Motors offers the 2024 GMC Sierra EV Denali with a 19.2kW onboard AC charging module for home and public charging. With the Ultium battery pack, the pickup truck boasts a GM-estimated 400 miles of driving range on a full charge.
The Sierra EV Denali also has a more efficient 800-volt DC public fast charging capability of up to 350kW, affording approximately 100 miles of range in 10 minutes. Owners have access to the Ultium Charge 360, a holistic charging approach with access to over 110,000 publicly available charging points.
Thanks to several customizable drive modes, customers have more control over the driving experience in the 2024 GMC Sierra EV Denali. These modes enable the driver to adjust the power, suspension, steering, propulsion, and sound settings for an optimally personalized driving experience.
The drive modes include Standard, Tow/Haul to unlock the 9,500lbs capacity, and Off-Road when the pavement ends. While My Mode allows for a fully customizable driving preference with access to the air ride active suspension, Max Power mode delivers top acceleration with 60 mph arriving in 4.5 seconds.
The 2024 GMC Sierra EV Denali features a Power Station Pro that allows owners to use the truck as a mobile power source for multiple situations. Alternatively, a properly equipped Sierra EV Denali has enough juice to power another EV.
At the same time, the Ultium Power Bar accessory offers 10.2kW of off-board power through 10 outlets that can help power external accessories and tools. With the proper product configurations from GM's Energy Ultium Home line, the off-board power capability can power essential home necessities for up to 21 days.

At low speeds, the diagonal-drive Crab Walk feature turns the rear wheels in unison and at the same angle as the front wheels to enable diagonal movement. Like the Hummer EV, the Four-wheel steer function enables all four wheels to collaborate for improved maneuverability and a smaller turning circle.
The Variable Regen On-Demand Braking converts the Sierra EV's forward momentum into electricity stored in the battery pack to extend the driving range. The One-Pedal Driving feature employs the accelerator to slow down the truck to a complete stop.
For owners keen on long trips, the 2024 GMC Sierra EV Denali boasts the industry's first proper hands-free driver assistance technology, the Super Cruise driver assistance technology. According to General Motors, Super Cruise relies on other driver assistance and security features such as Adaptive Cruise Control, Forward Collision System, Emergency Services, and Connected Services.
Super Cruise also utilizes sensors, real-time cameras, LiDAR map data, and real-time cameras for accurate assessments of the geo-location and immediate surrounding view of the truck. With an attentive driver and under appropriate conditions, the technology allows for hands-free driving on more than 400,000 miles of compatible roads across the U.S. and Canada.
